Current Series, John, Podcast Emmanuel Church London no no Church the Sunday http://emmanuelchurchlondon.org/archives/670 http://emmanuelchurchlondon.org/archives/670#comments Thu, 24 Jun 2010 21:04:26 +0000 admin http://emmanuelchurchlondon.org/?p=670 The small matter of an England vs Germany world cup game on Sunday afternoon means that we will run our Sunday meeting half an hour later than usual.  We will still be open for business from 4pm for anyone who turns up, but the meeting itself will run from 5pm and finish at 6.30pm.  If the game goes to extra-time / penalties we will still start at 5pm, content in the knowledge that the glory of God surpasses penalty shoot out hysteria.

I appreciate that for some of you it will seem strange to move a church meeting for a football match, but this is a big event in our nation and it would seem stranger to carry on as if we hadn’t noticed.

For anyone wanting to watch the game before the meeting, there will be a group of Emmanuelites in the Spanish Galleon from just before 3pm.
