Our offering in July towards ‘Together on a Mission’, the New Frontiers fund that supports its various works around the world, raised just over £13,700!!! If you would still like to contribute then you can put donations in the red box on Sunday marked ‘TOAM’ or do a bank transfer with the same reference.

August Offering
On 1st August we will take our next offering towards an Emmanuel ‘Community Fund’. This money will be used to support projects/works initiated by those within our church that engage with our local communities.
An example of this is a Kids Club that should start in Greenwich from Sept. as well as numerous other activities that those in the church are involved in.

This coming Sunday (25th) we will be taking an offering towards our weekend away in June. We are looking forward to a great time together as a church and hope that almost everybody will be able to join us.

The idea is that instead of making a direct payment with your booking, you give your money into Sunday’s offering.

Although we have provided a guide price for the weekend, we would love you to consider if you could give more in order to help meet the costs of those cannot afford to meet the whole cost themselves. Equally, if you are unable to meet the whole cost yourself please do come and put in what you can afford.

We would love everyone in the church to come on this weekend and definitely don’t want money to be a barrier.

The suggested costs are as follows:

Whittaker Lodge (catered) £85 for Adults, £20 for children

Camping (also catered – all eat together!) £60 for adults, £20 for children

For further details on the weekend contact us on info@emmanuelchurchlondon.org.

Many of you will have received a letter from the church outlining plans for our pledge day on 7th March. It is an exciting time in the life of the church as we approach independence from Kings Church Catford, to whom we are extremely grateful for their support, and assume control of our finances. We will soon become a charity in our own right and will need to increase our giving to support the ongoing and future activities of the church.

In line with this we are asking those committed to the church to prayerfully consider what they might give this coming year and communicate that by way of a pledge. We will also take up an offering on that day that will contribute to our financial reserves and greatly aid future cash flow.

Regardless of your current financial situation, this is a great opportunity to flex the faith muscles and make a significant difference to Emmanuel’s capacity to impact and influence Greenwich and beyond.

Thank you again to those who already give sacrificially to the advancement of God’s purposes through us as a church.

If you have not received a letter or would like to know more, you can contact the office on info.emmanuelchurchlondon.org and we’ll reply asap.

We recently received a letter of thanks from the Besom project who we were able to give around £450 to back in November 2009. Here is a short extract that is really encouraging:

’When you called to tell us about the money back in November we were in the middle of a core team meeting. It was very exciting to hear of your donation and we were able to begin praying about how to use it immediately! We often hear of needs but are rarely able to respond by buying new things’

So far some of the money has been spent on beds for a family escaping domestic violence in Charlton and the rest will be used soon!
